I'm losing my hope on LCD/CRT support on my Toshiba Satellite 2805-S402 (Geforce 2 go).

On "README" file there is always:

KNOWN LAPTOP ISSUES

o Power Management is not currently supported.
o LCD/CRT hotkey switching is not currently functioning on any Toshiba laptop, with the exception of the Toshiba Satellite 3000 series.
o TwinView on Satellite 2800 series Toshbia laptops is not currently functioning.

Yes, this is just a rant.

Hi.

Besides the fact that it mentions that it doesn't work on any toshiba laptop it mentions that it only works in Toshiba Satellite 3000 series. Well, I have a Toshiba Satellite 3000-504 and it doesn't work either :(

I'm searching for a solution. If I can't find one I'll contact try to contact NVidia.

I'll second this rant :-) Well, maybe not as a rant, but it would be really nice to be able to use the full capabilities of the card under linux...my 2805-s503 screams in agony!!

Is there something wrong with toshiba's implementation/use of the chipset?

I'm also worried about this issue.

Hey, developers! Please bring the support for this switching into the driver.

I'm sure a good idea would be to open the sources and let the free world hack around it. We would get the features we wish supported much faster, I guess.

Good luck,
Ivan.
