Attached is a S.S. of CPU-Z and my memory info.

I have 4 x 512 sticks of PC3200. Slot 1 & 2 are the same and slot 3 & 4 are the same. CPU-Z is reporting it dual channel, but the speed it says is 157.9 MHz.

I can force it to 200MHz, but would that kill one of my sets of RAM, and is it even worth doing that.

As always thanks for the great info. This fourm is the best.

Thanks,

K

I was not sure if it would kill RAM if I clocked it higher. I have never really messed with any type of OC'ing...

I know that I can change my RAM to 200MHz in my BIOS and then it will run at 200MHz. That is what CPU-Z reports them.

I had not tried changing Latency to 3 yet. Would that be a safer way to accomplish this?

Thanks,

K

Thanks,

Here is the update info. I set the RAM to 200MHz in the BIOS.

I did not notice that. I will leave it as is for now. It seems to be running fine now. But if any issues develop I will try changing the CAS to 3.

This is the first time that I have ever messed with clock speeds at all.

I think I may do some reading about OC'ing this set up.

Once again. Thanks for the help.
