first of all, i ask some pacience, my english is not so good.

i have the following config:

mobo: evga 590 sli
proc: am2 x2 4200+ oc 5000+
ram: 2x 1gb ddr2 corsair 667 value select
vga: evga geforce 8800gts 320mb superclocked
hd: sata2 wd 320gb

when i try to install vista (build 6000) i get a bsod with the following error:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (stop 0x0000000a)

i'd try seach on google and than i found this page:
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B929777&x=16&y=11

well, i do not have more than 3gb of ram and how can i install the damm hotfix that they put on the page if i can't even install my system?!?!?!

someone knows how to fix this? i'm trying to install the 32bit ultimate.

maybe has something to do with my 8800?

tks a lot

check for IRQ conflicts.

try reinstalling video drivers.

remove overclocks on memory/CPU.

drink two glasses of water and call me in the morning :p

but seriously, let me know if any of that helps.

That particular blue screen will happen a lot on systems with memory issues.

You should try taking out as much of your ram as possible and trying to load windows with only 1 stick in there, if it continues to bluescreen, put that stick in a different slot until you've tried them all. If you still have problems try the next in the first slot and then others and so on.

before i fall sleeping on my keyboard i tried to remove one of the mem modules. in this way i could finish the system install. but when the system have just loaded and was ready to use, BAM, bsod again.
i rebooted the pc and installed the fix 929777 from microsoft as quick as i could, trying to preventing a new bsod. after the update i turned off the pc and reinstalled the mem module.
just when the system whas starting again, BAM, bsod again =/

make sure you have all the unnessesary hardware devices unplugged....printers, webcams, gamepads, tv cards etc then try again.

i removed my pci card adapter for paralell and serial ports, and the bug persists =S

in safe mode the bsod rarely apears, but i can't use 3 minutes in normal mode.

hey guys, tks.

after all, it was my overclocked processor that whas holding me back =/

it looks that vista is not so overclockable as xp is =P

i'd set the default clock, than BAM, like magic, vista had start to work fine =D

tks guys

install at stock speeds. then OC back up to where you want it to be once it's installed.

i had to do that.

and sorry for the vga drivers thing... i misread the OP. :o
