Could a downloadable movie, provided it was the same capacity as a BD, have equal image quality if done thru software (CPU-dependent)?

If so, what would make it equal?

I find that if you bypass the ray shields it greatly reduces your chances of a core breach, but this could cause flux in the ion splitters, which is never a good thing.
