4349 + SuSE 8.1 working now

Ok, I managed to make the new driver work on SuSE 8.1, but only by setting
Option "NvAgp" "0"
So that, AFAIK, I'm not using AGP capabilities. I think that just sucks. How comes I have an AGP card, AGP 4x support on the chipset and now nvidia or SuSE won't let me use it?

Any help will be very much appreciated though.

Which motherboard (northbridge, actually) chipset is this?

The MB is a GA-7DXE with AMD 761+686B AGPset chipset
Athlon XP 1800+
256 MB DDR
