My question: How much signal strength will be lost over a 50ft VGA cable to a data projector?

Does a VGA splitter play a big role in the loss of signal stregths?

Jeap. You'll probably end up with shadowing/etc. If you get a high quality low-loss cable your chances are better. You'll need a ferrite too to choke out interference.

I somehow knew that was coming.

I was assured by the contracter that there will hardly be ghosting. He installed a 30m length cable in a local church and he can't see any ghosting on the projection. My length is 20m.

But just for good measure I ordered the Aten VS92A.
