i cant find this anywhere, sum1 gotz to know. how much vertical space is lost, not talking pixels but inches, going from a 19" 5:4 to a 20" 16:10 widescreen? and as a bonus, do 22" 16:10 have the same vertical space as 19" 5:4? also, by defition, won't 1680x1050 be more blurry and of lower quality on a 22" compared to a 20"?

Yes, since the dot pitch is increased. That is why you wouldn't want to normally web browse on a 1080p television. Then again, it all depends on the viewing distance and how good your eyesight is.

view distance will be about arms length and I wear glasses but I obsess over detail. i have a vx922 right now and from the 22" ws i have seen in stores my 19" is light years ahead for text and non gaming applications. thats why im considering a 20" ws.

another thing, on my vx922, 60hz makes my eye balls throb and also gives me a headache. do ws monitors even support 75hz?

lcds supposedly dont flicker, but I know what you mean with 60hz on a lcd.
