UT2003 + Vista x64 = odd slowdowns

I have transitioned to Vista x64 and have UT2003 installed and fully patched. I am using nVidia drivers 163.69 WHQL.

Whenever I play UT2003 online I get constant slowdowns, and I mean extreme. When I play single player they are absolutely fine. But online only is a crawl.

I run an Athlon x2 4400+ on an eVGA NF4 SLI mobo with an eVGA 7900GT graphics card and 2GB of DDR400. Any ideas?

by slowdowns you mean FPS? or lag?

My pings are fine and while stating the FPS they are constant 70s or higher. What is odd was when I turned on the "stat all" command for the game which shows all sorts of statistics for the game while it runs, the problem stopped. When I turned the stats off, it came back.

It isn't slow fps or lag, the best would to describe it would be like moving through sand or in slow-mo.

Wel it looks like I figured it out. It seems UT2003 doesn't like Vista automatic Cool & Quiet. When I turned power settings to high performance the CPU clock shifts changed and the mollasses gameplay stopped.
