Looks nice but with a 65nm shrink, the core clock (and shader clock) should be way up there...ok thats speculation... :)

Look very nice single slot.

Geforce 8800GT has same score as Geforce 8800GTX with Core 2 Duo.

It seem to me that G92 is 65nm shrink of G80, I would be surprise if G92 has 64 stream processors and 256 bit bus instead of 128 stream processors and 384 bit bus.

I will wait for benchmarks, if it all good then I may get one and next generation will be 6 months away.

From the pics i have seen, there is only one SLI connector at the top..... WTH is going on there ? So much for 3 way SLI....

Edit:- added linky.... http://forum.beyond3d.com/showpost.php?p=1073716&postcount=522

Last I read the sli connector will be brand new for 3 way sli, plus Nvidia is only supporting 3 way sli only on 8800GTX and Ultra, they might support lower cards later down the road.

I assume this is going to have a noticeable lower power consumption compared to the GTS/X? Been trying to figure out what kinda card to use for a Barebones SFF build without blowing out the (generally) small PSU's they come with.

So much for the HDMI and on board audio....

too bad they couldn't keep the cooler like that for their upcoming top of the line cards :)

is the 9800 or D9E w/e it is going to have a single slot cooler like these or double like my ultra?

Ok, I've been out of the gfx card loop for a minute....what is this? Basically what the 8600 series should have been? Cause I just bought a 8800gts 320mb and ima be a bit pissed if this card is like 100 bucks less and just as fast.

From what I hear with a good oc'd Core2 Duo it should perform comparable to the GTX, for like $300> . ;) I'm grabbing one... or maybe even two, for my other rig. :D

yeah I think I've put my GTS through its paces, only thing that I am upset about is not being able to use it on Windows Vista.

Nah, the 8800gtx will stand its ground for another good year before games are pushing it beyond what its capable of doing

The 8800gtx has had a great run, even did better than the 7800gtx did. :)

Well, can't say I'd mind then, if its GTX performance for less than $300....i'd shell out again and ditch this gts 320mb even though its like a week and a half old. heh.

This card was said to battle the 2900GT price/performance. Not beat the GTX. Thats why they moved the date up 2 weeks. It was going to be released the same week as the 2900GT

I wonder if this will have the directx 10.1 support that the 8 series is currently lacking. Probably not but still, looks like a great card.

I might replace my X1900 with this one  unless the X2900Pro beats it by more than 10%
