View Full Version : IE7
Is there anyone here that swears by IE7 instead of FireFox or Opera?
I can't get IE7 to open URLs that I type in while FireFox opens them instantly.
IE7 will open any page that I set as the Home Page, but not when I type them into the address bar.
Pretty confused at the moment.
I've even read through the IE7 help to try to see wtf the problem is. :thumbdwn: :o

that's bizarre.....I use IE7 whenever I can. I find it opens pages faster than firefox. But I've never had that problem you're describing.

I swear by Firefox when it comes to Windows and Linux. IE7 is ok and I'll use it for my web design class but that's about it.

I use IE7 when I feel like infecting a system with malware.

Well I use IE7, bit firefox (here Gran Paradiso) closes faster and doesn't give a not responding error, but IE7 loads the pages faster
So I hope they gonna improve IE7 even more or maybe come with IE8, worthy to compete with Gran Paradiso

Sorry ??? Ok, it's (much, much) better than IE <= 6, but still...
Note, I'm not saying it shouldn't be used. But it should be used alongside firefox, opera, and maybe safari. And most important, standards first, tune for the different browsers after.

Ya, I still can't figure out what the problem is.
Sometimes it cooperates and loads a page after I type in the URL and hit Enter, but that's vary rare.
So, it's something like http://www.microsoft.com + <Enter> works, and then opening a new tab and doing the same thing not 10s later won't work. Meanwhile, FireFox works like a charm.
IE7 won't even let me get to Microsoft.com most of the time. I bet MS would be all over a fix if they knew such a thing was happening :D
