OK, i want to annoy someone at work a bit with narrator in windows xp. How can i hide the narrator from taskbar? force it into systray for example.

Oh man! I'm so glad you asked this, so here's some code I wrote.
You can use the SendMessage() and ShowWindow() API to send the SW_HIDE event to the hWND of the application you want to hide. It'll still fully run but won't be visible in the taskbar or desktop.
I've got an application I wrote that lists all applications with the WS_VISIBLE style set and you can hide/show them. It even has an 'autorun' of type where you can have a static INI of apps you want hidden when the app runs.
I used it for Outlook at one point.

I use a generic app "Actual Title Buttons" which adds in a bunch of functionality. One of the options is to minimize to system tray with or without icon. I use it to hide stuff from the employers, because they don't pay attention to the tray. ;)

I hide the tray at work.
