Applications links in sidebar?

Anyone know if theres a gadget that allows you to add links to applications in the sidebar? Would love to be able to have a commonly used list of applications there so I wouldn't have to go through my startmenu or even have desktop icons...

Not sure if it works and I haven't tired it because I don't have Vista, but it looks like what you were asking for.

That works good, I tried this other one on MS's site but it sucked bad...
