Will we ever see a tuner or capture card that comes with component in?

It doesn't seem likely at this day and age.

I think its because venders are scared that if they make one, they will have the DCMA or RIAA all over there buts wining about copywrite which has ruined for alot of pc users.

Hell with copywrite make one anyway.

Very nice solutions but i heard about the HDMI one. Its not realtime though meaning its for puting HD cotent from a HD cam to your PC. Not for hooking up a RGB based DirectTV reciever to your PC.

ATI AIW X800XT. Mine has component in and I believe most of the X series AIW cards do.

My wife uses the AIW 9700 pro which is analog and works with svideo and composit.

Post a pic of your AIW i wouldn't mind getting the wife one and just use her media box plus she has a 60"" LCD on hers.

It says it outputs to HDTV.

I was refering to input with RGB.

That's actually component out not in. No PC graphics card ever made has supported component in.

Ive been reading more into it and the Living in America thing with the DCMA is a small issue.

Actually its alot to do with color balance and the demand for alot of power.

I seen some professional rgb cards but cost almost 4K. And these cards require alot of power to run them.
