Definitely looks like the twins are evil. You see them enter the car with Morpheus, with him pointing the gun at one of the twins. Then you see them fighting Morpheus.

Of course, it could be more complicated than just simply good or evil, but they look like the new version of the Agents.

But, of course, it is common among some movie makers to "mix up" the trailers, so that it looks like the actors are talking about completely different things than they are talking about in those scenes in the movies...

The Twins are bodyguards of the guy that Trinity has on the motorcycle and is trying to take out of the Matrix. So that might make them good, or it might make them bad. WE JUST DON'T KNOW!

Upgrades probably refers to Neo not being able to make Agents explode or Agent Smith being able to duplicate himself. WE JUST DON'T KNOW!

God, I wish I had a time machine so I could go see Reloaded and Revolutions...
