I'm looking for a pci slot fan that instead of pulling air out of the case but draws cool air in and blows it up. I like to mount one under my 8800.

I found one thanks anyways...

Would be nice to know your card's temperatures before and after using that.

Especially to those considering buying a heatsink.

Well when I get a chance to get the items I need I will post my temperatures in the NVIDIA GeForce 7 and GeForce 8 Series section of the forum.

all that does is circulate the hot case air.. not a good thing. There is a inward blower out there tho I saw once recently

Where do you think the air comes from that the fan blows over the cpu? How about the air the fan on your video card blows over the gpu? The case. Now Ihope you know that hot air rises and cold air falls. So that fan card would in some way be moving cooler air onto the vodeo card.

actually allot of cases have stag net air near the bottom of the case unless they have a vent ect. So its usually hot from the GPU

But still it will rise like all hot air does. And the cpu fan will blow this hot onto the cpu.

Like most vga coolers. They take the hot air and blow it onto the gpu.

I used one of these with my 8800GTX and saw about a 8*C drop and it was reasonably quite. I saw a CPU temp drop of about 4*C with it also.

Cool... and with that I think I'll order one. :D

i cant see a need for those

they take up a precious slot

and if u have a case that sports 1 120mm fan at the front pulling air into the case and another 120 at the rear extracting the heat should be all thats needed.

i get approx 40 degrees on my card and 35 with my cpu

Airbrushkid

Well doing this takes up more then one precious slot.

dude people that buy one want performance for a good OC not so they can save PCI slots... If you need the slots use the stock.

well thats why a better GPU cooler would be bought instead of the stock cooler, not a bodge like a slot cooler

I use a generic pci slot cooler on my gts ,10 degree drop.

It sucks the hot air off of the heatsink and also helps the flow of the stock gts' fan which is fighting a losing battle what with the spacing of the fins (too narrow, wide fins ftw)

I dont get how the vcool makes sense what with the position of the vent holes being where they are.

The Vantec will raise the temp of your gtx if anything

Q: Why was the PC blushing?

A: It saw the "System Blower" coming

I have one of those.

If you have a gfx card with exposed heatsink that will help, but if you have something like a stock 8800gtx with the enclosed heatsink that throws hot air out the back of your case it won't do much.
