Hi,

I'm getting the following :

NVRM: RmInitAdapter failed! (0x25:0xffffffff:1039)

It also claims issues with my /dev/n* stuff, but it looks ok :

crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 240, 0 Oct 8 17:32 /dev/nvidia0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 239, 255 Oct 8 17:32 /dev/nvidiactl

I'm running nvidia-driver-1.0.9639 out of ports, XOrg 7.2, and FreeBSD 5.5

Thanks, Tuc

You need to go the nvidia web site and download the nvidia driver.
I've used the latest one (100.14.19) for freeBSD.

I have one pc and and one laptop with freeBSD 6.2 RC2 without any problem. Both has ATI card on it. I have an HP laptop with 2 Duo Core that has nvidia card. Download the nvidia driver, reboot, and run nvidia-xconfig. But you need to install compat5x prior to installing your nvidia driver.
