EDID resolution problem
hi,
i have two 21" viewsonic lcd-panels both connected to an 8600gt card via dvi. one panel can't "tell" his EDID-settings so it isn't recognized correctly by the nvidia-driver anymore. after checking the Xorg.0.log i got these lines: Code:
(II) NVIDIA(0): Frequency information for ViewSonic VP2130 SERIES (DFP-0):but these are the lines for the second panel: Code:
(II) NVIDIA(0): Frequency information for DFP-1:i tried these options, but without success: Code:
Option "UseEdidFreqs" "false" |
Re: EDID resolution problem
is there really no solution to get this display working with xorg without the "resolution-checking"?
with windows i can use both displays with native resolution via dvi although one panel isn't "edid-talking" anymore. (this display was recognized as "standard monitor") but how want's to use windows ...???:) |
