how to install nvidia driver on redhat enterprise EL5 x86_64

I'm trying to use NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-100.14.19-pkg2.run to install the nvidia driver on my redhat enterprise el5 x86_64, but I'm experiencing a lot of problems...
first of all it never succeed to connect to the nvidia ftp site to download a precompiled kernel , maybe because of my proxy setting... I have to connect through a proxy and I have to use my username and password to connect, is there a way to specify this parameters when using NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-100.14.19-pkg2.run ?
second: it tries to build a kernel module itself, but it's not able to do it and it returns: unable to build a kernel module etc...
I think I've tried a lot of different ways but still cannot do it!
Does anyone have suggestions?
Thanks in advance

'yum install kernel-devel' will help if the kernel module can't be build.
