Read the "Technical" part.

And Brad Wardell was getting angry at other companies using standard starforce. Copy protection has gone out of control here.

It's doubtful that it was Relic's decision to do this. There are probably ways around it anyway. I know that in Quake 4 all that someone had to do was block the auth servers in their hosts file.

Well, I gave my copy away, and the person that I gave it to probably won't go online, so doesn't effect us. :D

Seems they changed their minds. The unprotected CoH was great for the buyers, allowing you to play without the media.

You don't need the disc as long as you register your key and create an account with Relic. I don't really see what the big deal is.

Oh, and as long as you have an active net connection. But really, who doesn't?

ya for people whos PCs arent connected to net 24/7 have to deal with this. I loved their first COH. but COH: OF is pain in the butt sometimes.
