Hi,

Today a friend of mine sent me by msn following text:

Happy New Year with a link from lycos.fr happynewyearr,email=, when I opened it it asked me to run the command prompt, I just denied it

So it's a worm

So virus is not installed?

Other problem I had, my AVG scanned pc (started manually cause of those issue above) and discovered a ircbot.con in my temp folder and removed it, so do I still have issues now or am I safe again?

Hard to say. AVG isn't THE best, but it's ok. If your paranoid with some time up your sleeve you could reformat. Only way to be sure.
