oooo this has potential. Space RTS + fleet tactics just tickles! lol

Hopefully it's better than the pathetically simple and primarily lame SW: EaW.

didn't realise this was out.

I loved GalCiv II, and i believe (although i may be wrong) this is by the same mob. I'll definitely pick it up if thats the case.

cool been waiting for this one. supcom + homeworld + civ = sins.

from what i've read it generates multiplayer maps on the fly and games can take days, even months to finish. so they added multiplayer quicksave which just sounds great.

also you *can* place some objects in 3d space like homeworld, but the fights look like they play out in 2d sadly.

i'll get it on the d/l later.

Yes, Stardock was (is?) behind the GalCiv series as well.

seems pretty positive. The lack of a single player campaign is a surprise to me, and a little disappointing.

Then again i always just played sandbox mode in GalCiv II anyway so.... I'll probably be buying it.

Played the game for 6 hours last night.

The lobby system needs a revamp and the UI could use some tweaks. Aside from that the game really is awesome. I just wish a lot more people played the game. The game is like Empire at war space battles with a leveling system for capital ships and a really cool tech tree design. I like it alot.
