My computer still runs fine with like 5 keyloggers on it... I'm still wondering where all my bank account money went though... Wondering when it will show up again.

I know no physics in dx9 sux.
almost all servers are dx 9 and vista is slower for me than xp.
got this link for a few days on crymod.com.
but it sux that its a exe file.
you have to start this exe everytime before you want to play a patch would be better.

It is absolutely, positively 100% NOT ALLOWED to alter any of the dlls used by Crysis or CryENGINE2 that are not open through the inclusion of their source in the Crysis Mod SDK.

As far as I am aware (and as much as I have been told), this subject is extremely taboo. You are not allowed to reverse engineer the dll files used by Crysis or CE2. You are not allowed to redistribute said modified dll files. The only exception is the Game DLL which has its source included in the Mod SDK (not the current version).

So until I am told otherwise, I will have to close this topic. I have left a message with Alex and the other admins, so they may choose how they want to handle this topic or if they want to add anything else to the discussion.

Again, I'm sorry for having to do this. It's pretty obvious all of you really want physics enabled for dx9 servers. But the method that has been described by the author is not permissible, as I have explained above.

Until the matter has been resolved,

/Closed

It was confirmed by Crytek's legal team earlier that any reverse engineering of any kind of files that haven't made been available by us through the SDK (which affects only the game.dll) is extremely illegal and a copyright infringement.

Even though it is a cool feature and even though we understand the community is requesting these kinds of things, we just cannot allow threads like this one to remain open on our portal, for obvious legal reasons.

Alacn, great work, but you must cease at this time. You should seriously put that talent to use when the source code is made available for the game.dll with the upcoming newer version of the Mod SDK.

So *magic* using this "unlocker" is extremely illegal and copyright infringement

Re: Full physics for DX 9 multiplayer

Wow, I wonder how much MS paid Crytek to keep the MP physics on DX10. Really makes me mad that I bought Crysis. There really is nothing DX9 can't do, but when they try this hardball crap that really makes me mad.

*Whine whine* - "Don't reverse engineer cause you are smarter than us and we want you to all buy Vista in order to get online DX10 physics..." I think I lost any respect I had left for Crytek with those statements, thats BS. Enable DX9 MP physics, obviously it can do it and its prolly 20% faster than DX10. :thumbdwn: I tried Vista, hated it and use XP exclusively.

So I can't have MP physics and trying to force them is infringement? Hey Crytek buying your POS alien game has been nothing but infringing to me. Piss off.

:rofl

I'm sorry, but this is completely ridiculous...

Extremely illegal?

I agree with diamonddave. I've been using Vista for over a year now, and I think its fine, but this is clearly just a ploy to make DX10 and Vista more desirable.

Also, if this program is just an .exe that runs in the background and isn't a patch to modify files, does it still break the EULA?

I know, its their right as software developers to set the terms of use, I just can't stand it when this is abused at the expense of the end user (ie, the people that keep them in business).
