nVidia Driver, Ubuntu, some apps don't work.
I have a strange or at least a problem I have not experienced before. I installed the latest linux driver for my GeForce4 440. Everything works well with the exception of some applications. One of the applications that does not work is the Gnome terminal. When I start the terminal application, I just get a white window. I am able to type in the window, but no text is displayed nor is the window frame displayed, meaning I can't move the window around. I can type exit it in the window and it will close the application, so I know the application is still working.

Any help would be greatful.

Try posting in the Nvidia linux section, you'll get more hits.

Read the stickie on posting a bug report also. Nvidia has some pretty good support in there.
