BFG GTX280 shows no video
 

Hello,

I just purchased a BFG GTX280 OC a few days ago and after fixing it, it worked the first day and then quit working after. All it does when you start the pc is run the card fan at maximum speed and no video shows. There isnt any booting beep either. I dont know if its the motherboard or something else thats causing this problem. My motherboard is an Asus M8N32-Sli Vista Premium with AMD Athlon64 X2 6000+ and a 1020W PSU.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have the DVI connected to the right one? Should be the closest one to the motherboard side. Check all your connections, including the one(s) going from the PSU to the card.

Try reseating the card. Mine does that when I move around the tower after installing a part (ie, did it when I changed my CPU cooler, when I exchanged fans, etc.)

Yes, I do have it connected to the one you mentioned. The thing is, it works once in every 5 - 6 times i remove the card from the slot and put it back in. I have tried it with other cards and it seems to work fine. And this card works fine on other boards except mine. When the PC is switched on, the card fan runs at full speed and remains like that till its switched off. No video appears on the screen and the usual beep which i normally hear when the computer boots doesnt happen either.

Any info on how I would be able to reset the card?

Not reset. Re-Seat... :) Take it out of the PCIe slot and put it back in. :p But I see you have done that already. :(

Lol, I must have done that dozens of times already. I'll hopefully be able to find any other solution if possible. Thanks.

Look like your BFG GTX 280 is dead just like BFG Geforce 6800GT I had years ago had no video showed after I played a game, it turned out that the BFG card died.

You will need to RMA the card or return the card to the store for another one.
