Rebuild Kernel with nForce Drivers (Kernel V2.6.18 Debian)
Hello all !
I've just buy an ASUS motherboard (P5N-EM HDMI) with nForce 630i chipset. I'm "one of those that yet likes to rebuild his own kernel"... But I can't manage to get the chipset working neither the network card, i've "solved" that by using another pci network card but there is no way to install a second SATA hard drive (320GB) and when I do a lspci I have all the north bridge listed as unknown... Any help will be usefull, please... Thank you in advance, Z |

please post the output of lspci -v i assume you have a nvidia nic, so you have to add the FORCEDETH driver, for the harddrive you need the SATA_NV driver. perhaps you need a newer kernel that supports your chipset. HTH snIP3r |

Re: Rebuild Kernel with nForce Drivers (Kernel V2.6.18 Debian)
hi!
it looks like your kernel is too old. could you try a livecd with a newer kernel and check if the hardware is recognized? greets snIP3r |
