7300GT and performances

Is it normal that an ATI X700 + centrino 1.8 ghz does 2100 fps while my 7300GT + dual core 2.2 ghz does 2000 fps with glxgears?

I know that it is not a benchmark but it is a bit weird.

Less than 1 FPS average here with GF 6800...
