Red flashing items?
I recently compiled and "make installed'ed" DMX for some research, and found some setup conflicts regarding the compilation, so I decided to delete said installation. However, the source did not come with a make uninstall.

I had saved the output of "make install" so i decided to manually go through the file and delete all files that were copied during the installation.

After doing so, I went to the installation folder via a console and noticed that there are several files (all of the .so files) that are intermittently flashing red.

What does this mean? That they are missing the files I deleted? Can I delete them too then?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Red flashing items?
I think those may be broken symbolic links. Try doing "ls -l" in the folder, that should tell you where any symbolic links point. Then check to see if the files they point to actually exist.
