Speak easy speedtest red dot freezes
My modem says it's getting 7168 / 896 Kbps, but speakeasy says 5674 / 755 Kbps. The big problem though is that when testing the download speed on Speedtest.net the red dot freezes several times before it reaches the desk (this happens on other speed test sites). Anybody have any idea why this might be?
I have a 7 meg' DSL connection from Qwest. My modem is an Actiontec GT701-WG. I've tried this with both ports on my motherboard (ASUS M2N-32 SLI Deluxe). |
Re: Speak easy speedtest red dot freezes
You are on DSL, correct? What kind of modem do you have? Are you using the LAN port on your motherboard (what brand/model motherboard) or a add-in card? Who is your ISP? Have you tried Speedtest.net? These answers may help others help you. ;)

I'm on dsl 6016/800 and I get 4900+/650+. Those results seems normal with that sync rate on DSL because of overheads. http://pflog.net/dsl_overhead/

I know that it will be less, but what about the random lag times when it stops downloading?
