SSH Server and Vista: How?
I used to run an SSH server on my system when I had XP. It wasn't very difficult as there was a lot of help online with how to do it. I want to set up the same thing in Vista but am running into a few issues. I need it because my work place has a restrictive firewall in place.

Re: SSH Server and Vista: How?
What are you trying to accomplish with SSH? Are you just using it to tunnel other traffic like VNC or RDP?

Re: SSH Server and Vista: How?
I want to bypass work's firewall while maintaining encryption. I plan on using port 443.

I set up OpenSSH on my HTPC which still runs XP for now. I think I rather have my main machine be the server though.

Re: SSH Server and Vista: How?
Well I was going to suggest using another program, OpenVPN. It works just fine on Vista and creates and encrypted tunnel via tcp or udp on whatever port you want to configure it to. You need to make a DH key and a signed certificate to be able to connect, so it's fairly secure.

I've been using it on and off to connect to my home and it works quite well.
