4870HD -> HDMI LCD
I'm thinking about replacing my 37W3 LCD. Presently using a DVI cable.
Most of the new flat panels are using HDMI connectors. I have the below video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161236 This card comes with an "HDMI adapter". Is this adapter going to be problematic? I've heard some people have had problems getting them to work right with these newer flat panels and have had to resort to analog/VGA. |
Re: 4870HD -> HDMI LCD
No Clue, I will be trying it out with my Panny TV once I get my GTX 260. Currently using the built in HDMI Connection in my motherboard for my HTPC and it works fine.

It would be no different than using a DVI -> HDMI cable. That's what I use with my HTPC/LCD TV. |
Re: 4870HD -> HDMI LCD
A friend of mine just got an LG and he can't get HDMI to work with his 3870.
Another friend has a 8800GTX and used the adapter. His color pallete was always totally screwed up and he never could get it adjusted right. Ended up going back to analog. Hence my question. I'm a little concerned this could be a big fat PITA. |
Re: 4870HD -> HDMI LCD
the 4870 should have full hdmi support ie audio and video. I am looking to get one myself
