Problems with error message
Hi All,

I installed the latest driver for my NVIDIA Geforce 2 MX400. The version is 1.0-4363.

I still get this error message when i want to play the game Unreal Tournament 2003:

Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".

This error is the reason why i installed the latest driver i mentioned above.

Can anyone help me with this?

Kind Regards,

do you have

Load "glx"

in the modules section of your XF86Config?

I did all that...

Load "GLX"

Driver "nvidia"

...each in the right module.

Here another log file that might help you in helping me:

Alright i read somewhere that i had to change XF86Config-4 file instead of XF86Config. So i did that and noticed that Load "glx" was already present but Driver "nvidia" was still Driver "nv" so i changed that and did a reboot.

Now the GUI didnt want to load so i changed it back to Driver "nv" and now i'm in my GUI again but still with that nasty error.

Can anybody help i'm getting real frustrated here.

When i start X it gives this error:

Failed to add GLX extention (NVIDIA XFree86 driver not found)
Can anyone help? Or is this a rare Linux decise ;)
