Did you install it on Win7? Were the any improvements over the driver installed with the RC? I noticed that after my WIN7/RC installation my X-Fi was installed as well as the control panel and control console.I didnt have to install my ethernet driver either, weird s hit,but I'm not complaining thats for sure.Cant wait for this one:D

Thanks for the heads up nekro.

I am doing this for 7 and seems stable as an old ladies rocking chair on the old carpet.

Re: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Series Beta Driver 2.18.0008 for win7

Installed the SBXF_W7DRVBTA_US_2_18_0013.exe, and everything is running great. Even though they're the beta Win7 drivers, it works great on Vista64 SP2. :)

Edit: Crap. Rather large problem. If I'm playing anything that's using ALchemy, then I can't get any sound output with Fraps. :( So I tried to change some settings around and even tried recording without ALchemy and it's very iffy at this point. Sometimes sound records, sometimes it doesn't.

Didn't have any issues what so ever with the older drivers for my X-Fi. So I'll be doing a clean installation of sound drivers later to see if it's a beta driver issue.

Ive never had any issues with the latest W7 x-fi drivers. And im using the 64bit windows 7. Although i never installed ALchemy. Perhaps that is causing the problem? Everything seems to work just fine without ALchemy anyway.

Do these or can these be made to work with the Auzentech Prelude?

Perhaps its best to just download them from their official website?

The drivers there are for Vista. They don't show any drivers there for Windows 7. I was just wondering if anyone has seen anything about these being adapted for the Prelude on Windows 7.

my main rig is still vista, but prelude is just a more fancy x-fi, just open the main inf file and add prelude info to it.

Still Vista here as well and was thinking the same thing about the .inf file.
