Suse & nvnet

Im stuck trying to get the nvnet driver working on my Suse 8.2.

I installed the driver without any error messages. And as far as I know its loaded correctly. But nevertheless I cant ping any other hosts from the eth0.

I tried installing the precompiled package and the soucre tar.gz, but both dont work.

PS: Since I installed the nvnet driver, my second onboard NIC works (with rtl8139).
So I dont know if that has somethig to do with it.

You probably need to disable apci (either completely "apci=off" or at least for pci configuration "pci=noapci") on the boot command line.

Hmm, I tried both methods (booting with acpi=off and pci=noapci) and reconfigured the network interfaces, but eth0 still doesn't work.
eth0 can only ping itself.
seems to be the same problem as here
:(
