Screen keeps going black with HDMI, VGA is fine
I can't get HDMI working properly. I have a Jetway JNC62K Mini-ITX motherboard with integrated GeForce 8200 graphics. I'm using the included DVI-to-HDMI adapter, connected to an HDMI cable to my LG 42" LCD TV (model 42LG50).
The problem I'm having is, when I just let the computer sit idle, the screen is fine. If I do anything that causes any graphics activity, the screen goes black for a few seconds, then the video comes back for a few seconds, then black again, etc, etc. When the computer goes idle again, the screen returns to normal.
Doing anything that exercises the CPU, such as compiling, doesn't affect the screen. Anything that updates the screen, such as dragging windows or playing a video, causes the black screen flashing.

AMD 5050e CPU
2GB x 1 RAM (only a single slot on this MB)
512MB of RAM allocated to graphics in BIOS
Debian Lenny, with 2.6.29 kernel.
nVidia driver 180.51, 185.19, and 185.14.08 all exhibit same behavior
