nvidia driver 180.44 NVRM: Xid (0003:00) when 4GB installed
 
Hello,

I'm running FreeBSD-7.2-RC2 - i386 with nvidia-driver-180.44 from ports.

xorg.conf :

My monitor is a LCD 1680x1050

With 2GB of memory, all is running well

When I install 4GB of memory - [kernel say: real memory = 3220111360 (3070 MB),
avail memory = 3139252224 (2993 MB] - The driver clear the screen and X freeze.
The system is still running and accepting connections via ssh.

X server freeze

did you try setting

machdep.disable_mtrrs=1

in /boot/loader.conf?

Perfect - machdep.disable_mtrrs=1 do the trick - All seems OK now.
