Fullscreen Flash/Firefox/nvidia 180.51 drivers = crash

Having the current stable versions of the nVidia driver, Firefox and Adobe Flash results in Firefox crashing anytime Flash is fulscreened.

Steps to reproduce: Using Ubuntu 8.10 or 9.04

Install the required packages to install the nvidia drivers, build-essential and the current kernel headers as I recall.
Download the current stable nVidia 32-bit driver and install
Download Firefox from http://mozilla.com extract the tar.gz to ~/firefox
Downlaod Adobe Flash from http://adobe.com in tar.gz format extract to ~/firefox/plugins

Visit youtube.com and choose a video to watch e.g. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EG-izyXfFHI press the fullscreen button. Flash crashes taking Firefox down with it. Firefox's debug output from such a crash http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/repor...04?p=1#modules

If I edit my xorg.conf to use the open source 'nv' driver and restart the X server this is not an issue.

The system installed Firefox uses a workaround or a fix so this will not crash the Ubuntu install of Firefox.

This bug occurs since a long time...

In 2009, while cell phones display youtube videos in many formats, there is still no decent video player on Linux :-( (mplayer,vlc are rustic at best).

Flash is the welcome format, as the plugin is made by Adobe and works the same way on any platform. Besides this nasty bug of course...

If somebody has already tried out the driver 180.60. Are these called problems away with him?

Just upgraded to v185.18.14 problem still exists.
