Ignoring a section of a screen?
I've got a projector that cuts 30pixels off the bottom the display no matter what the resolution is used. The manufacture informs us it's a hardware limitation and can't be fixed. Which is rather annoying as 99% of people who login to use the projector have their taskbar on the bottom of the screen and get rather confused as to where it's gone. We can work around it per user by moving the taskbar but that requires explaining to each user what to do.

So I'm trying to work out if I got work around it using driver settings. I was guessing that using some resolution with a displacement specified something like the examples in the readme for twinview might do the job (i.e. "1600x1200 +0+0, 1024x768 +1600+0; ..."
) but I've not managed to find anything that does the job.

Effectively what I'm after is a way to say the resolution is 1920x1200 but only make use of 1890x1200 as usable screen space and ignore the bottom 30x1200 pixels. Anybody know of a way of achieving it?

Thanks for any suggestions.
