new to ubuntu gos. trying to install nvidia driver

Hi,
Just installed Ubuntu gOS on my older computer and got a nvidia geforce fx5200 card. I'm trying to install the driver but installation states:
"Type "sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-180.51-pkg1.run" to install the driver. "

Where do I type the command?

Thanks!

First, stay away from gOS. It is a (crappy, IMO) fork of an older version of Ubuntu that in many ways does not work very well at all. I would recommend installing the regular vanilla Ubuntu, which has a mechanism by which you can automatically install and update the drivers. Using this method will be much easier than attempting to install the drivers manually.

Alright, thanks for the tip. I was debating whether to install gOS or Ubuntu 9.04. I went with gOS because I'm a heavy user of google docs, calender, and gmail. But if I can't upgrade my graphics card, I will switch to Ubuntu 9.04.

Thanks again.
