GeForce GTX 260M

I'm consideing buying a Sager laptop with this video card (GeForce GTX 260M), but as far as I can tell from the nVidia driver page, there is currently not a Linux driver available for it. Is this the case, and if so, is there any plan to release a Linux driver for the 260M in the near future? I know nVidia has a reputation for being good about Linux driver releases, and the 260M is a very new card, so it's understandable not to have a driver for it yet, but I can't help being concerned.

(As a side note, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 card that is in some of the competing laptops I'm considering does not even appear to exist according to ATI's website, so nVidia is still ahead)

Re: GeForce GTX 260M

The 185.18.14 NVIDIA Linux graphics driver release should work fine with the GeForce GTX 260M.

Re: GeForce GTX 260M

Alright thanks - that's just not clear from the driver download page, which says there are no downloads available when "GeForce," GeForce 200M Series," and "GeForce GTX 260M" are selected for the linux platform.

Thanks for the quick reply

Re: GeForce GTX 260M

The README for future 185.18.xx driver releases should explicitly list the GeForce GTX 260M as supported. I can't comment on the scripted download page, unfortunately.
