Prime95, Core i7, and HT

I ran into this strange issue the other day while seeing how much Hyper-threading affects my performance in various applications. I disabled HT on my stock i7 965 and then ran Prime95, whereupon at least one core would crap out with a rounding error by a minute's runtime.

I then re-enabled HT and Prime95 ran fine for an hour. The funny thing is, with HT off, my temperatures were around 55-60C, while with HT on, my CPU temps were around 65-70C. No other differences were made between the tests besides disabling and enabling HT in my BIOS.
