Is my gpu defect ? Please help

Hi guys,

after playing around with gentoo for some weeks now i now have heavy stability problems.
I can't do any 3d without system lockup + xid:nvrms in the message log.ck tomy

Ok, back to my second install (which i used for 2 years now without problems), and OUCH
i have terrible issues there also. I can't even get into kde, cause the x server crashes randomly. I have tons of artefacts and horizontal full coulured lines on the screen( those are moving around).

I made some pictures:
While intel bios detects drives:

While booting:

KDM:

Could you guys please take a look and give some advise ? Cause i still
have warranty for about 4 weeks for this card.

Thanks in advance,
Christian

P.s will attach nvidia-bug report later..

This does look a *lot* like a defective card - especially the corruption at the bios phase. It might be worth moving the card to another system to rule out other causes, but if its happening on multiple installs with different drivers, and in the bios, I would personally guess that the hardware has indeed died :(

Sadly, your guess was absolutely correct. My gpu is toast. After replacing it with another one, everything is back to normal :-) ...
