Bug reports & DSDTs

Tried playing with ACPI DSDTs but no luck so far (http://blog.shiftreduce.org/?p=13). XP might be needed to get working DSDT file (if that's even case with Asus).

Try booting with acpi_osi="!Windows 2006" to disable Vista DSDT decisions.

P.Kosunen, the best thing you can do right now is update your BIOS. Then a new option in the BIOS Setup Utility will apear to set the GPU to "External".

I'm in the possesion of the exact same laptop. I advise you to stick with the Intel graphics for the time being. The latest nVidia drivers (190.42?) do not work well with a G210M GPU. I'm experiencing distorted screens when trying to use OpenGL or switching terminals. The integrated Intel graphics does not suffer from these kind of problems.

190.42 should be in repos within a day or so.

Stability was horrible with 190.42, 195.22 seems to be better, no crashes so far (though lot of other packages did also get updated, so not sure what helped).
