xfx GT 220 suspend prob on fedora 10

Does anyone have a GT 220 and have suspend working.
I'm using an MSI K9N6PGM2-V system board. suspend worked prior to installing the card. pm-suspend causes the system to go into suspend (almost) as you can hear the fans start to spin down, but then it clicks and powers backup. It does recover from the failure to suspend, but it's still not working. hybernate doesn't seem to work either. I'm running 190.42 and fedora 10.

Fedora 10 is an old version. Perhaps you should upgrade?

I've attached a bug report. I'll upgrade to fedora 11, is that sufficient?

Yes. I think a newer kernel version might help. I remember back awhile ago suspend wouldn't work on my system, and I thought it was because of the Nvidia drivers, but upgrading from Kubuntu 8.10 to 9.04 fixed the problem.

It depends of your needs:
Fedora 12 is in a week, which means Fedora 10 will be End Of Life in about a month.

ok. fedora 12 still no good. any hints on debugging suspend? I'm also in the market for a new motherboard anyway so if anyone has any version of linux running on an AM2/AM2+ or AM3 socket board and a GT220 I'd be interested in the details on their rig since i'm already stuck with the card.

Ok. here is the solution.
echo PWRB > /proc/acpi/wakeup

Yours should look like this (yes, I know... everything is disabled).
If something is enabled, echo the device name on the left into wakeup and cat the file again to see if it is disabled. In the bios, disable all wakeup events, you'll have to use the power button to wake it up physically, keyboard wakeup wasn't reliable for me.

# cat /proc/acpi/wakeup
Device S-state Status Sysfs node
NSMB S4 disabled pci:0000:00:01.1
USB0 S4 disabled pci:0000:00:02.0
USB2 S3 disabled pci:0000:00:02.1
NMAC S5 disabled pci:0000:00:07.0
P0P1 S4 disabled pci:0000:00:04.0
HDAC S4 disabled pci:0000:00:05.0
BR10 S4 disabled pci:0000:00:09.0
BR11 S4 disabled pci:0000:00:0b.0
BR12 S4 disabled pci:0000:00:0c.0
PWRB S4 *disabled

You also have to be in Xwindows..... running in runlevel 3 or another console mode without xwindows caused suspend to work, but resume wouldn't power on the monitor. IT must be inside the nvidia X driver that the power up is sent to the monitor. I'm using fedora 12 now, with an xfx gt220.
