mplayer vdpau h264 flv decoding errors

running
Code:

mplayer -vo vdpau -vc ffh264vdpau -demuxer lavf ./FutureShorts_Badeschiff_videoplayback.flv
with this flv produces following stdout & stderr

the -demuxer setting seems to have no effect

the stream works fine when using the software (-vc ffh264) decoder

i have an msi p7ngm-digital motherboard with integrated geforce 9300 and am using driver 190.42

Your GPU has feature set B including the width limitations and your sample falls under these limitations, nothing you could do.
ftp://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Li...limits-decoder
(The "VDPAU Features Note 1" is valid for all feature set B hardware.)

thanks for the quick response.

sorry if this is a daft question but specifically what features of this stream make it unsuitable for vdpau decoding?

VDPAU Features Note 1

GPUs with this note may not support H.264 streams with the following widths: 49, 54, 59, 64, 113, 118, 123, 128 macroblocks (769-784, 849-864, 929-944, 1009-1024, 1793-1808, 1873-1888, 1953-1968, 2033-2048 pixels).
Your clip is 854 pixels wide. It's a GPU bug.
