Gadget for Shortcuts to be put in?
 
Is there one? I just want to add a few games into that and have it on my desktop and hide my icons on the background...

You could create a folder on the desktop and put your shortcuts in there. I do that for my games and it keeps the desktop nice and tidy.

just use rocketdock and then hide your desktop icons
