Unable to boot into Windows

I recently built a computer for a co-worker of my girlfriend and when I get Windows installed and do a restart the computer boots as though it will go into Windows and just sit at the back screen with no HDD activity. I have tried this with both Windows Vista and Windows 7
I am not total sure what it could be. Any Ideas?

Computer Specs:

Intel Pentium® Dual-Core Processor E5300
Kingston 2GB DDR2 PC800
Western Digital 500GB HDD SATA
Zotac G31MAT-B-E LGA 775 G31
LG DVD Burner

To Moderators: If this is wrong spot sorry was not sure what to post it under.

Press F8 and try with boot logging enabled. And see which driver is crashing Windows.

Re: Unable to boot into Windows

I'd just try doing a startup repair from your Windows dvd.
