Just go to CompUSA.com or tigerdirect.com. They have the GTX 480 for $529 and an overclocked version for $549. Considering how rare these puppies are, it's not that bad of a deal. You're going to pay a little over retail for one of these!

Thanks for the heads-up. How's the customer service with Galaxy though? If it's for the same price, I still prefer EVGA. They're flawless when it comes to returns and exchanges.

Galaxy has been around since 1994. The company is based in Taiwan. There is a 24/7 service number for tech support. Galaxy products are sold at major retailers and e-tailers like Newegg, Best Buy, and Fry's. I don't know their warranty policy though. STill, if their products are carried by BB and Newegg, I'd trust them.

There's no substitute for Evga...maybe XFX but they don't have any 4xx's as far as I know.

I beg to differ.... I love eVGA but I've had exceptional luck with BFG, PNY and eVGA... all tier 1 companies in my mind. I've never had the priviledge to own an XFX card but I trust that they are as good as people say.

Oddly enough... I've also owned an Albatron card which has lasted longer than any (6800 GT) and is still heavily used today. Maybe I'm just lucky?

Anyone know if they still sell Gainward cards? I'd kill for one...

BFG is as good as EVGA, at least IMO. They do have a lifetime warranty and are always quick to resolve issues.

Didn't Gainward stop selling in the US a few years back? Pretty sure they're just Europe/Asia now.

I have yet to have a graphics card die on me. So really it is up to your preference. I buy XFX when I can for the 2x lifetime, it helps when it comes time to sell.

In any event, I've had two fail on me in my history of gaming video card use, and I rarely even overclock.
