[195.36.24] Twinview+xinerama+clone, no cursor on clones

2 Attachment(s)
Synopsis:

HP Z800 Workstation, dual Quadro FX 4800. GPU0 is connected to two 24" Lenovo panels, xinerama+twinview. GPU1 is attached to two Panasonic DZ6700 beamers, blended, which are clones of the panel display with a set overlap for the blend.

Setup works as expected, however, no cursor is rendered on the beamers. The cursor is rendered as expected on the 24" panels.

Option "HWcursor "off" has no effect.
Option "HWcursor "on" has no effect.
Option "SWcursor "on" has no effect.

Previous driver versions exhibited the same behavior.

System is CentOS 5.3

bug report attached.

This is a limitation in the X server. It tells the driver to turn off the cursor on the second GPU because the cursor can only be on one (physical) X screen at a time.

Is there a workaround for this, or is it simply a fact of life?
