GTAIV drunk cam problem...I haz it

GTAIV drunk cam problem... (lee)?

No, I bought about 15 legal copies from a shop so I had no need to pirate

Anyone else had this?

If you bought it legit, contact Rockstar. I had a DRM issue with San Andreas when that first came out and they were fantastic to work with. They contacted Securom on my behalf and they sent me a ton of custom EXE's until we found a solution that worked.

I dont have BD-Rom files that I would need that for...

Quite possibly. I had a similar issue because I used D-Tools. Actually, I still do because nothing is better at ISO mounting even if it does have many nefarious uses.

If you right click the device and look at it's properties, it might tell you the provider for the virtual hardware. That would lead you to which application installed it.

Many emulation programs emulate BD-Rom drives. It's not necessarily for BD-Rom files (e.g. large iso's with the BD file system), but for compatibility.

D-tools, they certainly picked the right name for it, they should spell it Demons-Tools.

SPTD component can screw with IDE/SATA bus, that is why I uninstalled D-tools and SPTD a while ago and never looked back.

SPTD can cause burn issues, kill optical drive, and decrease read speed, decreased read speed was the reason why I noticed it, it slowed down my LG Blu-ray from 6x to about 3.3x and increased seek time.

Now its saying I have d-tools or alcohol (irony) installed which I dont , I suppose the virtual drive is hiding somewhere from a previous d-tools install, How can I find and get rid of it?

nm

found it

You could try installing D-Tools, rebooting, (let it finish installing), then uninstall it again. Hopefully it would clean up its mess.

if you have the SPTD malware installed, go here http://www.duplexsecure.com/downloads

download their "installer", if SPTD is installed it will give you remove option.

I had one night I was playing GTA IV all the sudden my guy got drunk. It was a DRM hiccup though. I rebooted and it was fine.
