Evo 2.2 speed test
 

So I got 2.2 on my phone from HTC's site. Don't bother with the link, it was taken down earlier. It was a manual install.

Any way I go 38.945 on Linpack's speed test. Very nice performance increase over 2.1.

I love flash btw. Steve Jobs is such a morAn. It is nice to be able to watch a video in browser.

The Nexus 1 got a 40.
Can you run Neo Core on the Evo and see what it gets with Froyo? It got about a 25.2 with Eclair according to this

Just wondering if Froyo sped up games at all and if so by how much.

Dang. I have an EVO, and I got 6.682 on 2.1. I probly have a BUNCH of apps running in background though.

No that is normal. Once you get 2.2 you will get what I am getting. 2.2 is jsut that much better on its performance. Tuesday you will get the update. All will be good then bro.

Everyone's performance is going up big time. The Evos are about 3rd on the performance list. I am more than happy with my performance now.

How smooth is the interface? Because that Was one area that android was lagging behind iOS and its smoothness.

It is much better. I don't see any stutter at all. The one thing they didn't fix was the FPS in the Evo. That was so needed but it didn't happen.

What I can't get over is being able to watch video in the browser. LOL I likes that a lot.

So umm would you be willing to install Neo Core to see if fps went up in a gaming situation?
